Meet the doctor:
Dr Andrew Jones earned his Master’s degree in Chiropractic from the Durban University of Technology (DUT), and began private practice in 1995. Alongside his clinical work, he remained actively involved in education — lecturing part-time in the DUT Chiropractic Department and supervising Master’s students.
With a strong interest in sports medicine, Dr Jones became a qualified Chiropractic Sports Physician in 1997, and went on to complete a Master’s in Sports Medicine at the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN) in 2009. This additional expertise has given him the opportunity to work at various high-level sporting events, both locally and internationally.
Outside the clinic, Dr Jones is a passionate sportsman himself, with over 20 years of experience in road cycling, mountain biking, running (both road and trail), triathlons, and canoeing. His personal involvement in sport gives him unique insight into the physical demands of training and competition, as well as a deep understanding of the types of injuries athletes face.
